Amongst the must-see parts of Cattolica, the most important areas are the centre, consisting of viale Bovio and via Curiel, with its many shops and bars that have made it the focal point for those wishing to enjoy some shopping or a quiet stroll, Piazza 1° Maggio, the location during the summer in particular of concerts and shows such as the "dancing fountains" event and also known as Piazza delle Sirene ("Mermaid Square") because of the unusual fountain in its centre, and the Regina Arena at the cultural centre, which has a capacity of about 4000 people and thus provides the venue for the town's biggest shows and concerts.
Cattolica's cultural centre also includes the Regina Theatre, opened in 1996, which offers fascinating seasons of theatrical shows including concerts and plays in the local dialect.
